Welcome!

We welcome your help of any kind to speed up the evolution of this project.

Some of the ongoing topics are listed here, discussed about in the group or managed as issues in Bugzilla. Of cource you can also bring in our own ideas.

Implement

Data Search

A simple text search is nice, but with the structure of the content available, we could realize much more.

Data History

The LivCos platform should become a decentralized system. Handling the data history, versioning is going to be a challenging task.

You can read this article and we are eager for your thoughts.

Plug-In

Job tasks, view nodes and data access nodes are implemented more or less embedded in the LivCos code. A proper plug-in framework would open the system to exchangeable extensions. Are you familiar with different plug-in architectures, like the Eclipse Plug-in Architecture, the Equinox,...? Then, please share your experience with us and help us to design the "perfect" plug-in framework.

Integration

To use existing, statically structured data within LivCos we need to integrate as many technologies as possible. Interfaces to different database servers, WebDAV, CVS, SVN, LDAP,... servers, to J2EE applications, different Web Services, and a further, long list to go, will enable the LivCos platform to provide a covering, virtual Cosmos to the user.

Would you like to apply your know-how about a technology to a LivCos data access node?

Test

Web GUI

Different browsers, many details in the use cases and tons of potential problems.

Please help us to improve the Web GUI by reporting any strange behavior or presentation in your Web browser. You can report your issue in the group or file it in Bugzilla.

Manage

Open Source License

For the beginning we publish the code under the Eclipse Public License (EPL). Eclipse seems to be a project, allowing to integrate everything and to build commercial products on top of it. But, well, we don't really know what we are doing here. Any comments? (issue 94)
